Saint Ann’s Shrine is administered by the Congregation of the Blessed Sacrament which was founded in 1856 by Saint Peter Julian Eymard in Paris, France. Saint Eymard searched for an answer to the deep spiritual hungers of his day and discovered it in celebrating the Eucharist.
We are a Catholic religious congregation of priests and brothers whose mission is to share the riches of God’s love manifested in the Eucharist.
Living in communion through the Eucharist is at the center of our life and faith as followers of Jesus Christ. It has the power to transform people and societies and to renew the Church.
We minister in many lands and cultures, but share a vision and hope for the world. Our ministries include:
- Administering parishes
- Celebrating the Sacraments
- Counseling
- Teaching
- Writing
- Serving the poor
- Working for justice
- Promoting Christian unity and dialogue
We also publish “Emmanuel”, an award-winning magazine, and work with the laity to promote Life in the Eucharist programs.
