On behalf of Fr. Roger Bourgeois, Chaplain of Saint Ann’s Shrine, the Saint Ann Shrine’s Staff, and the Community of the Congregation of the Blessed Sacrament, I would like to sincerely thank you for your continued thoughts, prayers, and generous support of Saint Ann’s Shrine, especially in these challenging times of Covid-19’s grip on our world!!! Please know we care about you and are concerned about you and your loved one’s health. You are truly a Eucharistic person! Please keep the vulnerable in your prayers, especially those in special care facilities.
We are so grateful for your sharing of your time, talent, and treasure in supporting all that we do!! Your generosity ensures the long-term sustainability of Saint Ann’s Shrine, the care of Blessed Sacrament Community and their mission work, along with allowing us to:
- Administer to Saint Ann’s Shrine, including celebrating Mass and hosting events that live out our faith;
- Have a Chaplain on staff;
- Support the members of the Blessed Sacrament in their mission work and care for those in retirement.
Beginning in late March of 2020, our department had to close our doors for six weeks. I was working from home during this time and although I enjoyed the shorter morning commute (I typically have a 78-mile daily round trip to work), I really missed interacting with the staff and the Community. After about two weeks, I came into the office just to check on things and sort through the mail. During my drive, I found myself very nervous of what I would be walking into. The uncertainty became quite intense, both personally and professionally. As I picked up the mail from the parish office, I was astounded. The mail bin was overflowing with donations from our Easter mailing. I actually had a tear in my eye and became overwhelmingly grateful for the generosity you have shown, not only with the Easter mailing, but non-stop throughout the year. Saying “Thank You” isn’t enough. Please know of the heartfelt gratitude I, our staff, and the Blessed Sacrament Community have for your support, especially during this unique year.
We pray that your faith remains strong as Good Saint Ann intercedes for our petitions as we set our prayers before her. May Saint Ann continue to protect you and your families!
Please share what you are thankful for on the enclosed reply slip. We will place these intentions in the Shrine and keep them in our prayers!
